Gangs Of Kin

Solo project for songwriter/producer Joël Gaerthé, an eclectic, contemporary artist by way of Amsterdam – at once troubadour with a memorable raspy voice and soulful barker with a witty turn of phrase. Gangs is his own blend indie rock meets surrealist pop. Throughout this project, he explores a plethora of genres and styles – from psych pop to R&B — a hybrid-ethos in pursuit of creative and emotional abandon. His own solo projects, Gangs is the vehicle to explore his love for J Dilla and low-fi beats alongside Flaming Lips, Outkast and Tame impala. Partnering with MNRK has led to collaborations include David Sitek, Alice Ivy and King Garbage — ahead of his new EP in late 2022.
