Zeds Dead

Zeds Dead

Among the most successful Canadian EDM acts, known globally through their extensive touring schedule as well as several Billboard-charting releases and nominations, Zeds Dead are producers that transcend genre. Initially known for producing dubstep and electro-house, their sound has expanded to incorporate drum’n’bass, trap, electropop, and other styles. In addition to releases on labels like Mad Decent, Dim Mak, and RAM Records, they also run their own bass music imprint Deadbeats. Dylan Mamid (DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (Hooks) named their duo after a line from Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 film Pulp Fiction. They released their debut LP in late 2016, called “Northern Lights” which included collaborations with Diplo, Pusha T, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Jadakiss, Styles P and more. Soon after, they won a Canadian Independent Music Award for Electronic/Dance Artist of the Year. Other collaborations including 1000Volts (rapper Redman and producer Jayceeoh) for the track “Kill Em” as well as tracks with Ganja White Night, Snails, and DNMO. 2019’s “Lift You Up,” with Delta Heavy, appeared on longstanding drum’n’bass label RAM Records. Additional collaborations with Droeloe, Slushii, Omar Linx, Rezz and Yultron. Currently they are working on their follow up LP, due Summer 2022.
