Alan oversees the company’s Urban division and has worked on 35 gold and platinum records for the company. He completed the original distribution deal for Death Row Records, where he signed, and spearheaded the success of, artists such as DJ Khaled, Jim Jones, The Game, Blueface and Bryant Myers.
Previously, Alan was the General Manager of independent label Relativity Records. While there, he signed Common, Fat Joe, and Three 6 Mafia. He also helped bring in Suave House Records and worked very closely with Jerry Heller and Eazy E on the relaunch of Ruthless Records, culminating in the 8x platinum success of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Alan began his career as a junior marketing research analyst at RCA Records, eventually rising through the ranks to SVP of Marketing. At RCA, he was instrumental in the success of diverse artists such as The Eurythmics, Cowboy Junkies, Jazzy Jeff, and the Fresh Prince. He is especially proud of running the marketing for the soundtrack to Dirty Dancing, which sold over 30 million albums.
