(December 8, 2021) Following his smash hit ‘Offline’ featuring grime heavyweights JME and Novelist, today rapper turned TV chef shares his new single ‘Big Eats’ featuring fellow west Londoner and cousin, AJ Tracey.

The rising TV chef, presenter, and rapper has chartered an impressive rise to notoriety, weaving a course between both music and his burgeoning TV career and his latest offering, “Big Eats,” goes further to bridge his worlds together. Produced by Nyge, “Big Eats” sees Zuu at his best – rap flexing with his signature gravel-flow and trading verses with AJ Tracey. “Big Eats” shows that no matter the dizzying heights his rising star reaches, Zuu remains steadfast to his music roots.

The video, directed by Whipalo, only goes further to emphasize Big Eats themes and sees Zuu and AJ Tracey head to the Big Apple and take flight across the NYC skies, before trying some of the city’s culinary highlights.

“We flew to New York, song’s called Big Eats where else can we go except the “Big Apple? Massive song produced by Nyge. Me, Nyge and Tracey, we’re always in the studio together so it was good to finally get something out tailored for me.” explains Zuu. “Nyge is normally making AJ’s tracks so I really appreciate them coming together for me, I’m really proud of the song, I love it a lot and I’m happy the people get to enjoy it!!”

An empowering message is at the core of Big Zuu’s music. Often rejecting the emptiness of excess and common tropes of juvenile braggadocio, his loyalty to his family and friends has become increasingly intertwined with all facets of his output. From his early days as a youth-support worker to a grime MC pushing the genre forward into an empowering and eclectic new terrain, Zuu, has stayed true to himself whilst practicing humility as he grows.

“ A lot of hard work, a lot of dedication. I’ve been busy with a lot of things in life but always been dedicated to music.” explains Zuu. “This is me having fun with music and doing what makes me happy. I think you’ll be surprised with the content on there, the selection of beats, the variation of music, the producers went absolutely crazy. Joker who mixed and mastered it is a wizard.”

“I’ve put almost 3 years into ‘Navigate’ but it comes with all the hard work I’ve done throughout my life in loving music. I’ve done EPs, I’ve done mixtapes, I’ve done projects but this is my first album and I can’t wait for people to hear it and people to enjoy it. I want people to listen to it forever. I know it’s a representation of Big Zuu & at the age of 26 but I have been making it since I was 23.  It’s been on the come up with me, I hope everyone can enjoy it”

Zuu’s activity outside of music has only propelled him further and higher. Receiving a TV BAFTA nomination for his debut series Big Zuu’s Big Eats and the release of his debut cookbook published through Penguin, Zuu’s feet have barely touched the ground in 2021. Zuu was also part of this year’s official team for SoccerAid x Unicef and has just been announced as one of the presenters of BBC Three’s new series Hungry For It’ alongside Stacey Dooley.

Big Zuu’s debut album featuring a host of impressive names including AJ Tracey, Kojey Radical, JME, Novelist, Unknown T, D Double E, is out now and the video for new single Big Eats is out now.
