MNRK MUSIC GROUP CELEBRATES ITS GRAMMY NOMINATIONS ACROSS CATEGORIES

Label client Jonathan McReynolds and Publishing Client Jesse Royal receive noms

(NEW YORK, NY) – November 23, 2021 – MNRK Music Group celebrates its nominations categories for the 64th GRAMMY® Awards, which will take place on January 31, 2022.

MNRK artist Jonathan McReynolds, along with Mali Music, received a nomination for Best Gospel Album for “Jonny x Mali: Live in LA.” A co-artist release between the chart-toppers, the live project follows on the heels of their GRAMMY®-winning #1 hit song, “Movin’ On.” Featured in a new performance take on the EP, the prolific songwriters and musicians have taken their artistic collaboration further, co-writing all the songs on the album.

MNRK Publishing client Jesse Royal received a nomination for Best Reggae Album for “Royal.” The release is Royal’s sophomore album and was released via Easy Star Records. The singer/songwriter has been a key player in the island’s current reggae movement and collaborated with like-minded colleagues on “Royal,” including incarcerated dancehall legend Vybz Kartel, GRAMMY-nominated reggae star Protoje, Ghanian lyricist Stonebwoy, former Raging Fyah lead vocalist Kumar, and more.

MNRK distributed label Tiger Turn received a Best Latin Jazz Album nomination for Carlos Henriquez’ “The South Bronx Story.”

In addition, MNRK management client Lights is featured on Ilenium’s “Fallen Embers,” nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album.  MNRK Publishing clients contributed to the R&B Field nominations: 9 am worked on a track for Leon Bridges’ album, “Gold-Diggers Sound’,” nominated for Best R&B Album, and Sam Wills worked on Lucky Daye’s “Table For Two,” nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album.
