(July 25, 2022) MNRK Music Group (“MNRK”) has tapped Michael Frick as its new VP, Creative Services, for its Music Department.  Michael is based in Los Angeles and reports to Maria Alonte, MNRK’s SVP, Music Department.

In this newly created role, Frick will be the Music Creative in brand partnerships and synch for MNRK’s Music Dept. He will handle day-to-day synch activity for artists and writers in MNRK’s global group in the advertising/brand marketing space. In addition, he will be working alongside the Music Supervision team, providing creative services to brands as a music strategist/ consultant.

Frick has worked with brands and creative content teams on music strategy and supervision throughout his career. A former music journalist, he speaks the complex language of branding, advertising, integrated tv, and web3.

In 2003, Frick founded music production and incubator, Mophonics. Key moments in his career include supervision for the launch of iTunes, producing the first custom song for an Apple ad, and signing GRAMMY-nominated Foster the People’s Mark Foster as a composer to score brand campaigns, which was the catalyst to Foster writing the critically acclaimed, chart-topping “Pumped Up Kicks.” He has also worked with Linda Perry, Thievery Corporation, Fitz & the Tantrums, and Michael Franti, among others. He has designed integrated music platforms for such brand campaigns as Apple, Visit California, Discover Los Angeles, Quickbooks, Cadillac and Verizon.  Michael is a member of the Guild of Music Supervisors and the Television Academy.
