New EP, NAPPY HOUR II, to be released on January 19, 2024
(December 8, 2023) Afropop singer/songwriter Adanna Duru releases a sizzling new single, Put It Down, today. Featuring Nigerian R&B/Hip Hop artist Mannywellz and produced by Soko, Adanna’s yearning vocals mesmerize over a sultry, melodic beat, joined by Mannywellz’s rhythmic verse.
Adanna says, “It was such a joy to create with another Nigerian artist, Mannywellz. We met in a writing session with one of my favorite artists Adekunle Gold. I hope you love this song as much as we do!“
Adanna previously released the first track from this EP, “if i was a boy 😉,” and recently performed two headlining shows in Los Angeles and New York City in advance of the EP release.
NAPPY HOUR II is the follow-up to her previous EP, NAPPY HOUR (March 2023), and will be released on January 19, 2024. It has garnered over 28M streams across all digital platforms, with the single “Pop,” earning 8M globally. Adanna has amassed a large fanbase on social media due to her unique and hilarious content, gaining 1.5M new followers on TikTok in 2023 alone. She received co-signs on that platform from Timbaland, Ayrra Star, Bas, Alicia Keys, Ed Sheeran, among others.
