DUALTONE SIGNS ATHENS, GA-BASED INDIE ROCK BAND FUTUREBIRDS
(January 31, 2024) – Dualtone Records—a MNRK Music Group company– has signed the Athens, GA-based indie rock band Futurebirds to a global recording deal. The new album will be coming later this year.
Paul Roper, President of Dualtone, says, “We at the label have been fans of Futurebirds for a long time. They were even in my Top 5 on Spotify Wrapped this past year! The band is making the best music of their career. I’m excited that our paths finally aligned to partner on this exciting next chapter.”

Futurebirds consists of band members Carter King, Daniel Womack, Thomas Johnson, Brannen Miles, Kiffy Myers, Spencer Thomas, and Tom Myers. With three singer/songwriters, the band has a unique and shifting musical kinship. Rolling Stone described Futurebirds as “the most captivating rock act touring today,” while The New Yorker called the band “…masters of reverb-steeped country rock infused with Southern Charm.”
The band is set to embark on a U.S. tour this week.
