“Unjust God” is the ferocious new single from South Carolina metal/hardcore behemoths YOUR SPIRIT DIES. The track is featured on the band’s full-length debut, My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, set for release on May 2nd .

Melodic guitars and ominous orchestrations set the tone for “Unjust God,” giving way to rapid-fire drums and black metal-style tremolopicking. The barrage barely lets up as vocalist Brandon Byars screams, “I stare into the eyes of an unjust god!” bleeding into a bold clean chorus.

Elaborates Byars, “‘Unjust God’ is a song about personal struggle with religion. Along with the title of the record, the idea came from the book of Job about an individual who faces great personal struggle. However, in this instance the person is pushed too greatly and not only loses their faith, but turns their back entirely.”
