DOWNSWING UNLEASH NEW ALBUM, AND EVERYTHING WAS DARK, TODAY
BAND TOURING WITH GREAT AMERICAN GHOST IN NOVEMBER
(October 24, 2025) Albany, NY metalcore juggernauts Downswing return with their most visceral and emotionally charged record to date, And Everything Was Dark, out today. The album tears down every wall of apathy and self-preservation, exposing something raw, unflinching, and defiantly human beneath the weight of its riffs.
The band previously released the singles “For What It’s Worth” ft. Travis Moseley (Colorblind) and “Too Little Too Late” ft. Chris Roetter (Like Moths To Flames). To mark the album’s release, the band has released a new video for the track “Emptiness Remains.” Watch below:
Since 2016, Downswing have steadily evolved into a powerhouse of modern metal and groove. The group’s current incarnation emphasizes big choruses, bigger breakdowns, atmosphere, and emotion.
“This is the first time it feels like we’re doing exactly what we want,” says vocalist Harrison Seanor, who joined the band in 2020. “We’re not chasing any specific trend or scene. We’re Downswing.”
