Directed by Decat, the accompanying music video opens with Chip posing for a mugshot before stepping out of a bail bonds office, where a blacked-out Rolls-Royce and a stunning chauffeur await him. From there, the visuals follow him through the streets of Atlanta, blending performance scenes with the playful contrast between his brush with the law and his carefree departure, capturing the record’s spirit of freedom and moving on his own terms.

Produced by Turbothegreat, the hitmaker behind Lil Baby and Gunna’s Diamond-certified collaboration “Drip Too Hard” and the chart-topping album DS4Ever, “No License” pairs bright, bouncing keys with crisp trap percussion and a steady low end. Chip’s smooth vocals glide over the production, pairing his laid-back delivery with clever wordplay throughout the verses and hook. References to rising diamond prices and others copying his style, while the catchy, repetitive hook gives the record its undeniable bounce.

Landstrip Chip began his musical journey as a teenage member of Rebel Gang alongside Yak Gotti and Rico Cash, then linked up with producer Sonny Digital and engineered sessions for Migos and OJ Da Juiceman. His early studio experience opened doors to songwriting and production credits for Tinashe, Ella Mai, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and City Girls, among others. In 2025, his contributions to Future and Metro Boomin‘s We Don’t Trust You earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.

Chip’s catalog includes “Both Ways,” “No More Rainy Weather” featuring Biirthplace, “Switching Positions” with Vory, and “Trophies” featuring Babyface Ray and G Herbo. He followed those with his most recent single, “Sin For Me,” featuring Pusha T.
