(October 21, 2021) –Today, London-based producer, DJ, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Lauren Faith teams up with Brooklyn-based producer/DJ wev on
“dawn,” a sultry, electro soul-pop cosmic journey just in time for the reopening of the dance floor.
Faith says, “Collaborating online kept me positive during the pandemic, and connecting with wev was a highlight. I loved working on this remix so much I couldn’t resist adding my vocals to it. I love having the opportunity to blend genres & make exciting music with talented artists & producers. Now I can’t wait to get over to NYC and get in the studio with him.”
Wev adds, “I first heard [Lauren Faith] on the Kamaal Williams record last year and was really keen to work with her. We connected earlier this year, clicked instantly, and worked on a remix for her EP. I sent her some stuff as well, and she put an incredible spin on ‘dusk’ which became ‘dawn’!”
Faith is a frequent collaborator/writer for Kaytranada, Craig David, Alanis Morrisette and MNEK. She worked with Kaytranada on his award-winning album 99.9% and with Craig David on his UK #1 album Following My Intuition. Lauren Faith released the EP, No Path to Follow, in July 2021 and has over 8m streams of her solo work across DSPs.
